And those were size 50 needles, affectionately known around here as "trees" - I thought the huge size ironically made the knitting feel a bit delicate, especially against the black of the light pole. One thing I've learned for next time: fringe is really easy to get caught in your frantic stitching while you're installing your piece. However, the free strands waving in the wind were totally worth it. :D Thanks, everyone!
